Andrew’s career has covered a number of industrial and service sectors, including CEO and non-executive director roles in ASX listed companies.

After graduating with a degree in Applied Science and a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Melbourne, he worked with General Motors in a variety of local and overseas positions before moving to PA Consulting as a strategy and performance consultant within the Capital Intensive division. His assignments covered a variety of large industrial companies in Australia and Asia and was followed by roles in McIntosh Securities (as Australia’s first Utilities Analyst) and Mercury Energy (NZ). He returned to Australia to lead the development of Yallourn Energy, where he built a class- leading capability in generator marketing. He then became Chief Executive Officer of the publicly listed Australian Energy / Power Direct. He joined Fish & Nankivell early in 2012.

Andrew is a non-executive Director of Energy One Limited (ASX:EOL), Australia’s premier software provider to the energy industry.

Ian has been a leading member of the executive search profession in Australia since 1984. He was a founder of Fish & Nankivell and became a Principal of Penrhyn International in 1985 and is past Chairman of Penrhyn. Ian is recognised for the many senior assignments he has conducted in the financial services sector, as well as his assignments for many leading Australian manufacturing, professional services, technology, resources, consumer products and retail companies. Through Boardroom Search, Ian has also conducted many searches for non-executive chairmen and directors. Ian has also conducted a large number of reviews of Boards, evaluating their effectiveness and performance.

Ian is a graduate in Economics of Monash University, and is a Foundation Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Ian worked for Alcoa of Australia as Manager, General Products Group; was employed by the Pratt Group as Chief Executive of companies acquired from Pacific Dunlop and James Hardie, and then moved into the Venture Capital Division of Pratt & Co Financial Services.

Originally from South Africa, Janice has worked in Melbourne since 2001, conducting executive search assignments across a number of sectors including financial services, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and education. Janice focuses on senior appointments, particularly Corporate Development and Strategy teams, as well as other senior Finance roles. Janice is particularly good at moving investment bankers and strategy consultants into corporate roles.

Janice worked for Accenture in South Africa, heading up their Recruitment function for 5 years before joining Investec as their Head of Talent, where she led a large change project for the recruitment function. Her next role was to set up the Johannesburg satellite office for a Brussels based business called EMDS, before moving to Australia and working in the executive search industry.

Janice is a graduate of the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts, holding a Masters in Visual Art. In addition, she has a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in psychology and sociology from the University of South Africa and a Diploma in Human Resources Management.

Janice combines her executive search career with her practice as an artist.

For over twenty years, Julia has been committed to delivering exceptional executive search and consultancy services. She is a graduate of the University of St Andrews, Scotland (MA Hons) and she began her recruitment career in a leading UK financial search and selection firm. She was appointed Director FSS Group in 1999 leading large multidisciplinary teams to deliver recruitment solutions to broad range of clients. In 2005 she was approached by the global search firm, Odgers Berndtson to join their not-for-profit practice as a Principal. Julia has continued her search career in Australia, joining Fish & Nankivell in 2013.

Kathy's career in executive search started in 2000, and she has been a Principal in Penrhyn International since joining Fish & Nankivell as a partner in Melbourne in early 2004. She specialises in searches for critical roles – mainly chief executive officer or equivalent – for not-for-profit organisations which recognise the need for excellence in management and superior financial outcomes. In many cases she is called upon to search out those hard-to-find people who have experience in both the commercial profit-driven world and the community sector.

In 2007 she opened an office of Fish & Nankivell in Canberra.

Kathy has a BA with Honors in English, a Diploma in Education, a Graduate Diploma in Information Studies, and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.

Prior to her career in search Kathy worked for seven years with the publisher Curriculum Corporation, a company whose board comprises the Chief Executives of the nine State, Territory and Commonwealth departments of education. She was originally a teacher. She has been on the board of the Victorian Institute of Sport for 10 years, and (until it merged with another provider) served previously on the board of Urban Communities Ltd, a public/private housing provider which emerged from the Becton/Victorian government joint venture at the Kensington public housing estate in inner Melbourne. In 2016 she joined the Nominations and Remuneration Committee of Netball Australia.

Phil is a graduate of Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting and economics. His professional career commenced with Arthur Andersen where he worked for 10 years in Melbourne and Sydney as a Senior Manager. He then joined a major information technology service provider, Idaps Computer Science, as Divisional General Manager where he significantly increased the performance of the division over three years. His next appointment was to PA Consulting Group as a Principal Consultant working primarily on organisation reviews, business improvement systems and marketing projects. This was followed by six years as Principal Consultant with PA's executive recruitment team in Melbourne including two years as Manager, Victoria.

In March 1995 he left PA to establish the Executive Recruitment firm of Ogilvie Watson. This firm then merged with Fish & Nankivell in 2001 at which time Phil became a Principal of Penrhyn International. Over his more than twenty-five years in executive recruitment Phil has worked extensively on Chief Executive Officer, general management and non-executive director appointments, working across insurance (general and health), not-for-profit, professional services, IT & T and local and state government.

Richard's career in executive search started in 1984 when he joined PA Consulting Group where he worked for 11 years in Melbourne, London and Singapore. He and Phil Watson established Ogilvie Watson in 1995 and merged their firm with Fish & Nankivell in January 2001. Richard has a multi-industry practice including engineering, energy, resources, utilities, manufacturing and professional services.

After graduating from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree, Richard joined BHP in Australia as a Marketing Engineer. Then followed stints in HR with Nylex, management consulting with the Energy Consulting Group and Touche Ross and then with PA in executive recruitment where he was Country Manager, Singapore and Manager, Victoria.
