Other Information
Kathy has written 10 books related to education. She has been non-executive director of a number of not-for-profit entities involved in education, sport and community housing. She used to be a keen competitive sailor and still loves sailing and the sea more than almost anything. She’s a great reader of everything except crime and horror – there’s enough nasty stuff going on in the world without reading more of it. But she loves to try to understand why things happened and why people behave the way they do, so she reads a lot of history and travels to countries where she can learn more about the history she reads about – England, Europe, the US, Chile, Israel/Palestine, India (including Kashmir), New Zealand and many other places, and of course different parts of Australia. She speaks German and is learning Spanish in preparation for many more travels in Spain and Latin America.
