Experience

Approaching thirty-eight years professional recruitment experience and is amongst the most well-known names in executive search in the industrial sector. During this time, he has delivered search mandates around the world, including Europe, Americas and the Middle East.

His client work includes Board, leadership team and senior appointments, working as a trusted advisor to clients in industrial and technology sectors. This has included global corporates, SMEs and venture-backed companies. He has built a strong reputation for high quality delivery, aimed at securing the best possible talent for the client that enables growth and creates value, whilst maximising the candidate’s experience of the client company, contributing to an enhanced reputation in the market.

Bill spent the first seven years of his career in the recruitment sector with Michael Page PLC.

Subsequently, he spent a number of years with HW Group PLC in operational leadership roles and was a Board Director for several years prior to its acquisition by TMP Worldwide.  Thereafter, he was part of the leadership team tasked with growing the newly-merged business. This was followed by several years with Norman Broadbent International. He then spent ten years with Harvey Nash PLC as Director of Executive Search, growing the industry & technology practice. Bill re-joined Page Group in 2016 as Director of the Industrial Practice of Page Executive, before joining Osprey Clarke in 2021 to help run and build the firm.

Other information

Away from business, Bill is family orientated and a life-long motorsports enthusiast. Coming from a musical family, he is an accomplished guitarist and a regular live performer with professional soul and jazz bands.
