Experience
Dr. Philip Wenger has a track record of more than 20 years as a successful entrepreneur in the German Headhunting Business. In leading positions for the national consultancies Conciliat GmbH (2002-12) and Expertalis GmbH (since 2012 as Co-Founder and Managing Partner). This gives him an extensive expertise in filling specialist and executive roles across various industries, with a particular focus on retail, production, logistics, services, and private equity.

Philip’s approach to executive search is rooted in the belief that the profession is a dynamic interplay of communication and thorough investigative work. He thrives on the diversity of each assignment, engaging with challenging candidates and clients, and finds fulfillment in bringing both sides together step by step. As he describes, “When you think you’ve seen it all, you meet another personality, a character, a situation that enriches you once more.”

He holds a Ph.D. from the University of FU Berlin, on the subject of recruitment. His academic background is completed by a Master´s degree in international relations and management from the University of Konstanz as well as academic studies abroad in the US and Spain. 

Philip was a founding member of the global headhunting corporation Future Manager World and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Penrhyn International. In these roles, he contributes his expertise to international executive search mandates, leveraging his global perspective and strategic insight.

Outside of work, Philip enjoys traveling, playing tennis and golf, and exploring Düsseldorf – his adopted hometown – with his wife and three children.
